• Working as an temporary works designer, designing temporary works for an array of projects, preparing design briefs for complex design schemes, providing design support to the site teams and aiding in the conceptual design stage.

• Employed as a setting out engineer, responsible for all setting out on site including new openings to be created, crane positions, locations of new permanent works and the setting out of all temporary works.• Role grew into a managerial role with the control of small teams of operatives to undertake investigative works out of hours. This included the production of reports and direct coordination with the main contractor. This also included the initial inspection of temporary works and supervising their installation. Other responsibility’s were the production of method statements, planning of works and being the point of call for any site queries, including out of hours.• The largest aspect of this job was the removal of over 2000 tons of concrete slabs and beams, I was responsible for all setting out of temporary works and cut lines. This also included the supervision of temporary works out of hours and the general planning of works, lifting schedules and the streamlining of work on site.
