Overall responsibility for sales and operations in the Carolinas region. Primary responsibility of directing and growing the government sales efforts and business development efforts at the Federal, State and Local level. Leveraging existing and new partnerships to provide turnkey security solutions to the government vertical, teaming with large businesses to provide minority participation and high level expertise in IDS, PACS, VMS and PSIM solutions.

Joe Harris currently serves as Vice President of Star Asset Security. In this position, his primary responsibilities include operations management for the company, along with sales and project management. He has been instrumental in the continued success of Star Asset Security since starting with the company in 1996. Joe has developed and maintained the critical relationships with some of the largest customers of Star Asset Security. His expertise in systems design, systems installations, customer relations and project management has been important factors in maintaining the growth and profitability of the company.During his time with Star Asset Security, Joe has continued to develop his skill set by attending and graduating from numerous manufacturer and industry schools, specializing in systems software and hardware. Joe has gained industry recognized certifications such as the Physical Security Network Associate for IP Video systems, the Panasonic iPro Certification, the NTS Alarm Systems Technician Levels I & II, and the NTS EAC Certification.Joe also has the knowledge and background to secure high level security clearances for working with numerous governmental agencies. As part of his work, Joe was recently an instrumental member of the team that successfully implemented the new HSPD12 / Personal Identity Verification systems at a top Department of the Treasury agency. This system was the test site for the DOT implementation of these new security mandates.In addition to his customer focused duties, Joe is also responsible for the computer and information systems infrastructure for Star Asset Security. His knowledge of computers, networking and software has been essential in maintaining dependable technology systems for the company.

Performed many duties during the time spent with these companies, from installation to Service Department Manager to Sales and project management. The last few years were primarily focused on large commercial/industrial security systems installations by working as a Sales Engineer assisting the Sales Deptartment in system designs and implementations. Also performed project management duties from the design phase forward to installation completion. Gained numerous technical certifications from manufacturers and trade associations during this time.
