Program Manager for Preparedness, Outreach and Education

The Maryland Emergency Management Association promotes and supports an all-hazards approach to Emergency Management in the State of Maryland.

Emergency Manager responsible for planning, preparedness, training and response to gas emergencies for Baltimore Gas and Electric. (BGE)

Conduct college-level courses in Homeland Security and Emergency Management to university students. Prepare and present lectures to students on Homeland Security, Emergency management and Public SafetyResearch and compile bibliographies of specialized materials for outside reading assignments; stimulate class discussions.

•Provide the day-to-day management, implementation and maintenance of the Emergency Management Program (EMP) at Goddard Space Flight Center. (GSFC.•Coordinates and manages the activation of the GSFC Emergency Operations Center (EOC).•Provide overall incident management and coordination of incident action planning efforts. •Responsible for developing, conducting, evaluating, and systematization analysis of emergency preparedness exercises throughout GSFC.•Manage the Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) Process. •Serves as program manager with major responsibility for developing evaluation and corrective action programs for federal, state, and local emergency management exercise programs as they relate to GSFC.•Coordinate with responding public agency resources and command structure and arrange emergency access to Center information and resources, as required; •Provide information and resource management and strategic planning support during an incident at other GSFC sites, in coordination with the Management Operations Directorate and the Protective Services Division; •Maintain close liaison and coordinating with NASA HQ, Federal, State, and local emergency management organizations

•Assists with the coordination of the overall City response to disasters and emergencies;•Develops, establishes and implements policies and procedures for City-wide emergency management;•Represents the City in regional, State, and national emergency management and homeland security efforts;•Oversees, coordinates, and facilitates the development, implementation, and evaluation of City plans for response to disasters and emergencies, as well as to local, regional, and national special events;•Coordinates with surrounding jurisdictions to develop and evaluate regional response plans;•Assesses and analyzes information and makes authoritative decisions regarding initiation of emergency notifications and response actions;•Initiates emergency notification to City officials, staff, and the public of impending or actual disasters or major emergency events;•Manages and maintains City alert and notification systems;•Monitors and utilizes various regional emergency communications systems, such as the Washington Area Warning System (WAWAS), Regional Information Communication and Coordination System (RICCS), Emergency Alert System (EAS), and WebEOC;•Manages, directs, and coordinates the activation and functions of the City's Emergency Operations Center (EOC);•Manages and maintains EOC equipment, resources, and data systems, ensuring EOC capability and readiness in an emergency activation;•Supervises volunteers in the EOC, as well as at incidents and special events, and in support of emergency preparedness public education activities;
