Regional Area Manager
Current• Supervise and lead a team of 7 full-time direct employees and oversee an additional 11 program employees, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment to promote employee motivation and professional development. Manage personnel training, safety, and development within respective programs to ensure staff readiness and effectiveness. • Review and maintain multiple programmatic budgets to ensure proper utilization of resources and adhere to fiscal responsibility and State policy. • Oversee 7 bureau programmatic functions, including agriculture and grazing management, real estate management, minerals management, forest management, fire protection management, and forestry assistance programs management ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Manage leases, projects, and environmental impacts on approximately 489,000 acres across 15 different Montana School Trusts in 7 counties.• Collaborate with multiple bureaus and staff to ensure consistent program delivery, policy application, and procedural adherence.• Hold executive board positions for both the County Assist Team (CAT) fire team and the Billings Dispatch Center (BDC), delegating priorities for large-scale fire management programs. • Lead land use planning activities and projects as the primary project manager, providing guidance to staff and coordinating interdisciplinary teams.• Manage building operations and coordinate maintenance, safety protocols, and emergency evacuation routes for a facility accommodating roughly 50 people.
