They represent the majority of food supplements found in leading pharmacies and supermarkets, as well as those sold directly to consumers.In addition to operating in compliance with detailed national and EU law governing food supplements, CRN UK members all agree to abide by voluntary quality standards to ensure consumer safety and confidence.Non Executive Directorship in which i was responsible for chairing quarterly technical & regulatory forums. Working with the chair, second vice chair & treasurer to grow the CRNUK name, manage cost and increase awareness within the market to maximise our membership.

In my current role, I am responsible for the label compliance department. Beginning with the set up and growth of the department, and integration into current quality systems, I have been responsible for driving growth of the department from 30k monthly average revenue to 80k average over a 12 month period. My duties and responsibilities include:• Design and implementation of a customer specific product compliance report. • Preparing for UKAS visits, in a UKAS 17025 accredited laboratory by ensuring quality investigations and reviews are managed effectively.• Interpretation of food labelling regulations (EU1169/2011).• Customers first point of contact for technical and legislative queries. • Recruitment and training of 3 direct reports, including; appraisals, pay & progression reviews.• Review of root cause investigations• KPI tracking – production and revenue. Current revenue stream around 800k p/a.

Production and quality oriented position. Processing customer samples in a timely manner for requested analysis. Main duties included;• Routine operation and maintenance of two GC instruments and two Nitrogen analysers.• Problem solving and troubleshooting issues.• “Root cause” and health & safety investigations. • Liaising with external customers and testing laboratories in sub-contraction of samples.

Preparation of solutions. Handling of hazardous chemicals. Maintenance of laboratory equipment. Experiment development and production of standard results for GCSE coursework.

. Small group intervention. Classroom support. One to one tuition with students in the support centre. Directly affected around 150-200 GCSE students throughout the year.
