I fill a variety of roles in business management and business development with my current position at Loftus Engineering. I’m involved in human resources, office accounting, network administration and IT planning as well as business development and marketing.Roles and responsibilities for Business Development and Marketing:• Assist in the development and growth of business relationships• Maintain Business Contact Manager for use as CRM system• Attend networking events, tradeshows, and conferences periodically to represent the firm• Perform internet research on competitors and market trends• Review and update marketing materials and company website • Execute cold calls; cold emails; cold visits• Attend regularly scheduled meetings with the President of the firm to discuss Business Development strategies and progressRoles and responsibilities for Business Management:• Office Accounting: create financial reports to review with President of the firm and accountant; monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable; track monthly expenses; bookkeeping• Human Resources: perform new employee orientation; complete employee termination process; execute bi-weekly payroll; monitor health care plan and 401k plan benefits; uphold office policies and procedures; secure personnel files• Network Administration and IT Planning: research and order new PCs; set up new PCs (network and install software); troubleshoot errors; maintain back-up system and archive system; monitor server maintenanceAffiliations:• Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS): Board of Directors - Treasurer
