I am Greensboro Editor at The Assembly, North Carolina's magazine of place and power.In that role I report and write stories and work with a team of reporters, editors and photographers to tell long-form, enterprise and investigative stories about the Gate City. I also write the weekly newsletter, The Thread.Before joining The Assembly, I was senior investigative reporter at NC Newsline and NC Policy Watch. I also spent a decade at the News & Record, during which I covered cops and courts, higher education, and government from the county and city to the state level. I've also written for the Cape Cod Times in Hyannis, MA and The Bristol Press in Bristol, CT.I'm an alum of Youth Journalism International, a non-profit working with student journalists around the globe, and work with its young writers today.
