Part of the Site Senior Leadership Team, this role is a multi-department head, incorporating Lean Specialists, Digitisation, Operational Data Analysts, Leadership Development and Communications. On a large scale site, producing offshore wind turbine blades, this role is responsible for the overall site strategy process, specifically its translation to, and execution of, the Operational Excellence agenda.

Engaging directly with client CEOs of global corporations to significantly enhance profitability and predictability of business performance. Through rapid information extraction and coherent assembly, this role formulates linkage between financial performance and operational metrics to assess true optimisation potential and manage the execution. Responsible for engagement team leadership, full process redesign, implementation, performance enhancement and executive briefings. Managing concurrent needs of multiple engagements, this role provided wide-ranging and extensive experience across Manufacturing, 3PL (Logistics) and FMCG settings, in a true business context.

Accountability for Continuous Improvement, Supplier Development and Project Management functions, this role encompasses ownership of all critical aspects of the Operational Strategy.As deputy to the Operations Director, responsibilities also include leadership across all aspects of the site as well as financial reporting / forecasting.

Responsible for all operational aspects of the Forge Business Unit including die machining, material preparation, forging and forge inspection functions.

Initial responsibility for all operational aspects of an autonomous business unit / site; including P&L and strategic development.Latterly took responsibility for all UK-based manufacturing for both James Dawson and Fenner Precision. This incorporated two sites, three product groups and over 250 direct personnel.

Responsible for all operational aspects of the turbocharger testing facility; including project management, validation and development.

Responsible for the delivery of NPI, R&D and CI projects across the turbocharger business.

Responsible for the delivery of improvement projects focussed on under performing processes through lean deployment.

Responsible for development and control of manufacturing processes; specifically the balance and assembly of rotating components.

Responsible for lean deployment and continuous improvement initiatives across all turbocharger production areas.

Siemens Advanced Modern Apprenticeship (4 Year); completed in just over 2 years.
