Working my way up from an apprentice to Commercial Lead. I am responsible for the pricing of thousands of products and adjusting in price increases when necessary. Also, I am deeply involved in large project quotations & orders ranging from £5,000 to over £100,000. I manage the Offsite Service Centre which specialises in offering innovative prefabricated solutions in the construction industry. This role has allowed me to develop several key skills including commercial awareness, adaptability, effective leadership & management.I also took on the challenge of developing our social media as it was an area which had been left untouched for such a long time. I did a basic revision of our e-commerce home page, I then addressed the LinkedIn & Instagram postings. I have managed to successfully grow our following to over 1600 on LinkedIN & over 600 on Instagram. LinkedIN was my key focus with around 96% of business being B2B.

I was the first point of contact so having the ability to provide excellent customer service was essential, this allowed me to demonstrate my confidence and professionalism. Problem solving was my most frequently used skill as I needed to think on my feet and resolve issues without resorting to a short-term solution. This role laid a foundation of fundamental skills which play a key role still to this day.

This role allowed me to develop a variety of crucial skills as it was such a fast-paced environment dealing with the public, face to face. This role included the up-selling of a MasterCard, this was a massive learning curve, as we were targeted. Being targeted allowed me to push myself further and further to exceed expectation. I stepped up massively in this role due to covering my supervisor during an extended period of low staffing levels.
