In this role, Longo was responsible for facilitating the development of the organization's corporate strategy; and ultimately the execution of its strategy. Prior to joining Six Disciplines, Joe started his professional career in public accounting, where as an auditor he attained the necessary experience and passed the CPA exam. While with a public accounting firm he was asked to start a consulting practice that focused on the installation and implementation of ERP packages. In 1992, Joe ventured out to start his own practice and later became a partner in Business Micro Solutions (BMS) as a result of a merger in 1994. Under Joe's leadership, BMS grew from approximately 10 to 70 people. BMS (which was ultimately acquired by ePartners/Austin Ventures) installed, implemented and supported business management systems for over 800 small to mid-sized businesses.The company's Joe Longo has founded or led have consistently led the VAR industry in most key performance indicators, including profitability, employee retention, customer service, software sales and total revenues.
