Employed by Chubb fire to carry out compliance audits and DLP inspections across the mining, and commercial clients. Fire engineering experience obtained across mining, renewable energy plants, marine, and aviation infrastructure.

As Senior Technician for Essential Fire Services it is my duty to carry out inspections on buildings, conduct routine tests according to the Australian Standards. Design and install fire systems for properties large to small and across many disciplines. Carry out failure diagnostics, make recommendations, and test functionality of engineered fire protection systems.

Responsible for the day to day planning and consultation with stakeholders, managing the execution of de-watering systems, bore maintenance, liaising with and supervising contractors, attending the Safety, Prestart and Planning meetings, managing water extraction, strategic installation of de- watering pipe lines and pumps, managing earthworks, pump maintenance, bore monitoring, fabrication and modification of bore head works, structures and plant, data entry and Dam level monitoring, pumping between Dams optimising our recourse usage.

Working on the Fire Tail Mine and Kings Mine site my tasks were to design and modify mechanical drawings, install mechanical components, screens, crushers, mill install and commission, modification of guides and structural steel as well as fabricating supports. Fitting the conveyor return idler frames, install and align Pullies, roller troughs, roller covers and aligning roller frames, installing pumps and commissioning, building in counterweights to the gravitational take up unit and GTU chutes, installing the screens and scrubbers, welding and modifying chutes, designing, flaring and installing high pressure hydraulic pipe lines from the scrubbers to the hydraulic lube oil tanks and throughout the vault and pressure testing. Alongside my team I also installed the modules to the scrubber buildings and GTU and the dust extraction pipe lines to the conveyor duct covers.

I was responsible for the mechanical installation of pumps and motors, Install of pipelines ranging from 25mm to 300mm, pressure testing of pipelines, Hydrants and Hose reels in accordance with AS2118 & AS 1851 we installed small to big bore pipe with threaded and roll grooved fittings.

At Soltec I was lead hand of the Maintenance Boilermakers crew carrying out maintenance on the Tailings Dam pipe line at the Newcrest Gold Mine Telfer site. Along with that we were also contracted to install heavy duty supports to the emergency replacement Ball Mill gear including the custom fabrication and install of all quick release safety railings to protect the ball mill gear.

I was responsible for the installation of Fire sprinkler systems/ Pipe lines including the maintenance of the mechanical systems both in the mining sector and Perth. Duties included but were not limited to installing of mechanical components, fitting out shops, offices and warehouses with sprinkler systems, Inspections on worksites, liaising with the clients, testing the Fire pumps, Hydrant pumps, Anubar probe and lists-sonic flow tests, Valve overhauls, commissioning, Electrical detection system testing and periodical evacuation tests, fault finding as well as portable fire fighting equipment maintenance and install.

I installed and maintained mechanical fire sprinkler and hydrant systems, repairs on sprinkler systems, responsible for electrical testing, alarm testing, QA/QC, hydrostatic testing, pump installs and maintenance. Portable firefighting equipment testing, installing and repair work. I maintained all the Installations for the Westfield shopping centres, Woolworths, Coles and Toll regional distribution centres as well as the metropolitan areas.

My duties were to maintain a high level of safety awareness and training on site, provide first Aid, conduct toolbox talks, Quality control, conduct investigations, JHA reviews, manage customer relations, regular mine site visitations and relief work on the mine sites Boddington, Ravensthorpe ,Hope Downs and Cloudbreak. Monthly audits, Pre start meetings, consultation and on site supervision of the construction team while also providing management assistance.

Apprentice in engineering. Based on a turn key system used in Switzerland we were trained in Planning, design and construct, quoting, Intalling and fitting of pumps, industrial size boilers, chillers, condensers, building the infrastructure of industrial size chiller rooms, fabrication of pipe lines, quality control, commissioning maintenance and logistics.
