Loading and organising parcels into the trailers to be distributed throughout the UK and Europe. Physically demanding work and target based to try and get parcels ready in time to then be loaded and sent off to different iPorts across the UK.

My first bar job at the Regent, I undertook regular bar duties, such as serving customers food/beverages, cleaning and polishing glasses/cutlery and setting up rooms for events/functions. A few weeks after starting the opportunity to become a supervisor arose and following this I undertook many more roles, these included counting up tills, recruiting, training new starters, opening and closing the bar. Alongside the bar work I also filled in for the night porter, as well as coming in to learn about Hotels and doing general work around the hotel.

I signed up for a 3 month contract to set up tents for the upcoming Summer season for Vacansoleil. This included heavy lifting and assembling of different frames, as well as setting up the inside of the tents with stoves/beds etc. Alongside this, we would cook and clean for our colleagues on an evening (taken in turns) as well as shop and live amongst each other in mobile homes/tents/apartments. The campsites we worked on were around Lake Garda in Italy and then in Interlaken in Switzerland.

Following Royal Navy basic training where you are tested physically and undergo strict discipline. I moved to HMS Sultan in Gosport where I underwent 6 months of trade training in phase 2, classroom and practical work working on Seaking helicopters in hangars and learning each individual component and flight theories in the classrooms. I took City & Guild modules with me and came out of the Navy after just a year.
