Strategic Vision and Leadership: • Collaborate with the Board to refine and implement the strategic plan while ensuring that the budget, staff, and priorities are aligned with Shelter House’s core mission• Provide inspirational leadership and direction across the organization, and ensure the continued development and management of a professional and efficient organization; establish effective decision-making processes that will enable Shelter House to achieve its long- and short-term goals and objectives• Cultivate a strong and transparent working relationship with the Board and ensure open communication Leadership & Management: • Ensure ongoing local programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality across the organization • Actively engage and energize Shelter House’s key stakeholder groups• Lead, coach, develop, and retain Shelter House’s high-performing senior management team • Ensure effective systems to track progress, and regularly evaluate program componentsDevelopment & Communications:• Ensure that the flow of funds permits Shelter House to make continuous progress towards the achievement of its mission • Formulate and execute comprehensive marketing, branding and development strategies that will ensure consistency throughout the organization• Use external presence and relationships to garner new opportunitiesStrengthening infrastructure and operations: • Ensure the delivery of high quality services while managing for current and future growth• Support and motivate the organization’s staff• Oversee the financial status of the organization including developing long and short range financial plans, monitoring the budget and ensuring sound financial controls are in place

Oversee day-to-day operations at all program sites of the Shelter House, Inc.Sets direction and develops strategies for accomplishment of organizational goals and priorities in accordance with agency philosophy and values.Provide management, supervision, oversight and support to shelter directors.Serves as liaison for Shelter House, Inc. with County officials on all resident-related policies and procedures. Acts as liaison with external organizations to ensure quality program development, implementation, and maintenance.

Recruit, train, supervise, and maintain job evaluations for all Social Workers, Residential Service Workers, and Administrative Assistant.Manage shelter programs and all services related.Manage transitional housing programs and after care services.Coordinate with the Department of Family Service's supervisors and supervisors of deployed Community Services Board to ensure effective interagency collaboration. Function as Executive Director in her absence.

Lead group of young professionals in developing program curriculum, service projects and mentoring for Leadership Fairfax's Emerging Leadership Institute program.

Oversee all administrative, public relations, community education, and resource development strategies.Prepare statistics and reports for use in community education and quality assurance.Recruit, train, supervise, and maintain job evaluations for Building Manager, Residential Coordinators, Residential Counselors, and kitchen staff.Ensure employee compliance with agency policies. Monitor safety, maintenance, and food service function. Function as the Director in her absence.
