•Managerial duties: Responsible for the profitability of the Component Division. Pricing of all the products we manufactured. Hired and fired employees as necessary. Gave annual reviews and raises. Cost analysis of every project. Managed as many as 54 employees at any one time, number varied. Managed all aspects of this division: engineering, computers, personnel, purchasing, manufacturing, deliveries and facilities. •Engineering: Engineering Analysis & Structural Design of components used in residential and small commercial wood projects (joists, rafters, beams, columns, headers, trusses, walls, etc.). I used software and CADD programs written specifically for this industry.•Computer / Network / Printers: Worked with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and SQL. Set up and maintained the computers, printers, plotters and networks at these locations. Trouble shot hardware and software issues with all the computers in house. Replaced defective hardware components such as hard drives, CD Drives, network cards, cables and monitors. Installed software from windows operating systems to CADD programs written specifically for the wood industry. Showed others how to run programs and setup their computers.•Computer programming: Using Microsoft Excel I have written programs to do engineering calculations and accounting record keeping. Using Microsoft Access I have written some database programs including one that keeps track of employee time. Using Microsoft SQL I have modified report files in Alpines Database.•Purchasing: Purchased all the raw materials used to manufacture wood trusses. •Manufacturing: Oversaw the daily operations of the manufacturing plant, including scheduling, and deliveries.

• Engineering: Engineering Analysis & Structural Design of Post Frame Buildings. I used programs written specifically for this industry, in addition to doing hand calculations at times.• Computers: Set up and maintained the LAN (Local Area Network) system. Cleary’s LAN System was Lantastic. I also worked some on Auto CADD. Recommended and purchased computers for the sales staff.• Programming: I wrote a number of programs in FORTRAN including 1.) A Steel program, which determined the quantity and length of steel sheets required for the building, 2.) A Trim program, which determines the quantity, length, and type of trim required per building. 3.) A structural calculation program which sized columns, footings, purlins, and bracing.

•Engineering: Engineering of wood trusses, designing of roof & floor systems, engineering consultant of wood products. Group leader, responsible for 3 designers. Used software and CADD programs written specifically for this industry.•Computers: Maintaining the Novel LAN computer system.•Programming: Wrote a number of programs to increase productivity of the office in either FORTRAN or BASIC.

•Office Supervisor: Determined the selling price and cost analysis of all manufactured products (Trusses, Stairs, Pre-hung doors, Misc.), problem solving, supervisor of office personnel.•Buyer: Purchased and priced millwork products for all 5 Fish Building Supply locations, as well as purchasing the raw materials for manufacturing.•Truss Technician: Laid out roof & floor systems, truss take-offs, designed trusses.
