I am responsible for managing all projects for our London Office at Laser Surveys. Time management is crucial as I monitor and manage around 20 surveyor's and assistant's time and equipment. Based in Blackmore we provide land, building and underground survey services. Working to maximise time spent on site and in the office for our surveyors is thoroughly important as we can generate as much profit as possible through these efficiencies.I am also still involved in business development for CentremapsLive, seeking new business opportunities as well as marketing and customer relationship management.

I spent a number of years working at St Johns Sports Centre in Worcester as a Recreation Assistant as well as a Duty Manager. I also spent 6 months working here as a volunteer as part of my placement at University.I was responsible for between 5-25 children that aged 5-12 for a number of hours including special needs and care assisted children for activity days. The sports centre has given me the opportunity to attend courses working with disabled children and coaching; I gained qualifications in safeguarding children and first aid.My volunteer work saw me as Assistant Leisure Centre Manager, taking a leading role in the retention policy of the sports centre. As a result I wrote my dissertation on the Effectiveness of CRM in a Sports Centre. This experience gave me the opportunity to develop my leadership skills by motivating my team members. As well as this I was trained as a receptionist and sales advisor. I also carried out a number of duty manager shifts giving me a large responsibility as well as the control of a number of staff members.

I was confronted with an assortment of challenges in many areas of sports management including social media, sports writing and event management. I took a leading role in organising a large football tournament called the ‘OCAA Soccer Provincial Championship’. This tournament ran over 3 days and included 16 teams from the entire Ontario province. The responsibility given to me for this has helped me develop my problem solving abilities and team working. Working abroad gave me great insight into the differences and challenges businesses face compared to UK firms. It was also extremely useful in developing my communication skills and adapting to a change in lifestyle/culture.

I worked with a partner to gather information of a designated area that is under development. This involved dealing with construction managers and having good knowledge of health and safety procedures. This work was undertook on a part-time basis in between university studies.The opportunity of working on sites in Fulham, Sandbanks and other locations gave lead to complex, large scale properties that required a high level of accuracy.

I completed my work experience placement at Halcrow, an infrastructural planning company. Within a team of four people I was given the task of helping to design a small bridge that was going to be built. This was quite a challenging role and I coped well with the pressure, part of my role was to ring contacts to check if building could continue. This gave me an insight into dealing with customers allowing me to develop vital communication skills.
