As a member of the Capital Development team we're responsible for taking projects from initiation through to completion. Working with the client and internal key stakeholders throughout to determine their requirements and then developing, planning and managing for delivery via internal and external companies from architects to civil contractors. All the usual parts of the process are covered including design, costing, consenting, tendering where appropriate, contract administration and then construction.Projects may range from small amenity and facilities infrastructure through to large capital works projects with values from a few thousand dollars to a number of millions.

Working with the Strategy and New Business Team seeking market opportunities across the Infrastructure, Telco and Services Divisions. Working with, and on boarding, the relevant internal stakeholders and SME's to progress opportunities through the internal approval process. Representing the business with external stakeholders, businesses, industry bodies and associations. In had experience with tender and bid responses and helped to secure additional work for the Wellington regional office and their roading team. I also maintained Visionstreams Business Development activity which saw me secure ChargePoints first unit sales with Mitsubishi Motors NZ.

I was initially brought to Visionstream to help them establish their presence in the Wellington Region and manage the local office of designers and records Staff. The expectation was that I would also run with any new projects as they came online. In the absence of new projects being secured I undertook business development activities to help to develop other potential avenues of growth for Visionstream and other Leighton Contractor Divisions. With limited regional capability and resources to undertake work locally the role developed more into market analysis and hunting for suitable short term opportunities whilst building longer term relationships.

Wellington

Programme managed the roll out of the 2Degrees Wellington Tier 1 network. Responsibility for the development of the network through the design, acquisition, RF and TX engineering, build and integration stages. Responsibility for contract management, financial performance and fostering relationships with key players inc the vendor, contractors, local and regional government and the public when required.
