Associate, Donor Communications
Current-Provide mission-driven, timely written content for use with individual donors and institutional partners. -Collaborate with education, advancement, and scientific departments across the four-museum network of Carnegie Museums. This includes soliciting institutional information, research updates, planned museum initiatives, met benchmarks, and miscellaneous items of public interest. -Create designed stewardship pieces in the form of customized impact reports, giving summaries, seasonal outreach letters & emails, and endowment reports. -Plan, information gather, and write over two dozen endowment reports in the summer of each year. This process encompasses a three-month timeframe. -Write, edit, and finalize yearly template documents for everyday use among central stewardship and advancement staff. Included projects: gift acknowledgement letters, membership solicitations, advisory board and trustees correspondence, and gift remit forms. -Create menus, objective summaries, letter-based solicitations for an institution-wide comprehensive campaign. -Adhere to museum branding and approved institutional language. Proofread all writing and the writing of colleagues for scientific, biographical, historical, and artistic accuracy. -Structure writing to adhere to industry standards of equity, equality, and accessibility. -Proof, edit, and provide constructive feedback for colleague writing. -Coordinate with gift officers on effective communication strategies for individual donors. This includes preferred language, museum initiatives, acknowledgement of officer/donor rapport, and giving histories. -Coordinate with museum educators and professionals on content creation with particular adherence to institutional voice, accuracy, legibility, and timeliness. Writing projects range in subject. Sample focus areas include the history of American art, scientific research and its import, social equity and accessibility, STEM education, and philanthropic impact.
