• Represent pharmacology on late stage interdisciplinary project teams responsible for development thru Phase IIb.• Have authored nonclinical pharmacology reports and summary sections for clinical candidates to support IND and IMPD filings.• Responsible for setting up and maintaining relationships with CRO organizations and opinion leaders in support of internal and partnered discovery efforts. • Responsible for mentoring Ph.D. scientists in the Discovery process and a group of senior associate scientists in animal model development and PK/PD analysis in a matrix organization.• Scientific responsibilities include development of in vivo rodent models, the PK/PD analysis of in vitro hollow fiber and in vivo efficacy experiments and the evaluation of new technologies.

• Managed a group of 4 associates.• Responsibilities included acute cellular toxicity and inhibition of activity assays, and in vivo efficacy experiments in the areas of infection, inflammation and cancer.• Validation of in vivo efficacy models, mechanism of action and pharmacokinetic experiments, including PK/PD analysis in the area of Infection.• Member of all project core teams and the target validation team.• Pharmacology representative on an inflammation program successfully sold to Novartis AG. • Directed of vivarium operations and a scientific member of the site IACUC.
