JOE ORTIZSR. VP. Creative TechnologiesJoe Ortiz brings extensive and varied expertise and skill in his role as Senior Vice President of Creative Technologies at Technifex. Ortiz began his career with Technifex in 1994 and has worked in the themed entertainment industry since 1983.As the head of Technifex’s Creative Technology, Ortiz’ responsibilities include:• Contribute towards winning new projects by developing creative technology solutions and proposals in response to client RFP’s, in keeping with project goals, timings and budgets• Lead (R&D) with a blended team of designers and fabricators to develop new products or target existing Creative Technologies project effects that could be easily productized • Create solutions for technologically complex projects, play a critical role in shaping the technical and creative vision, practices and clearly communicate complex solutions and challenges in an easy-to-understand way, to both technical and non-technical team members and clients• Build an ad-hoc development team of technical professionals both internal to Technifex and external with outside contractors to gather as needed for special projects to solve complex problems• Proactively come up with ideas for new workflows, estimating processes and forms• Assist with mentorship and career development for teammates to help meet company goals• Research technical systems within and outside the Themed Entertainment Industry for potential use in development of products and/or projects• Develop relationship with companies in different markets to create a symbiotic relationship for exposure of our capabilities to companies that could use our services or expertise (i.e., Movie Industry, Gaming Industry)
