As well as having recently graduated with an MSc by research in biomedical science, I am a masters graduate in molecular cell biology (MBiol) from The University of York, having achieved a first class honours degree in 2021. I developed a range of practical and digital skills during and prior to my university studies including the use of real-time reverse transcription quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR), human cell culture, various molecular biology techniques, and the processing and analysis of data (including raw single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data) from a diverse array of datasets using RStudio. I am currently undertaking an PhD in Mechanistic Biology at The University of York, exploring the ability of insulin signalling to influence various cellular responses including the development of cancer. This project also aims to using the acquired knowledge of these signalling pathways to enhance regenerative therapies in the context of musculoskeletal disorders.
