Workforce Development Manager

Irving, Texas, Us

Grateful for the opportunity Pioneer provided me to assist in the management of our Drilling and Completion Workforce through recruitment, training, career development and staff retention; however, I am more grateful for being afforded the opportunity to support Pioneer's aggressive drilling program in the world's largest oilfield ... The Permian Basin Shale Drilling!

Jun 2018 - Jun 2019

Consultant Drill Site Supervisor And Onsite Project Management

Anchorage, Alaska, Us

Initiated employment as an Onsite Project Manager for rig assembly operations to construct, assemble, modify and commission an operator owned drilling and completion rig. Supervised Drilling and Completion Operations since spudding the first well while intermittently managing rig modifications at preplanned opportunities in the drilling schedule. Conveyed directions of the BlueCrest Anchorage Team while directing the efforts of the Rig Team (Service Company and Drilling Contractor Personnel) and facilitated all efforts toward safe, efficient, cost effective execution of the Well Plan while minimizing trouble time and associated costs. Provided Leadership by example with a deliberate focus toward No Injuries to Personnel, No Harm to the Environment and No Damage to Equipment. I much appreciated BlueCrest affording me this opportunity to participate as a vital member of the highly motivated and productive team BlueCrest assembled to address this challenging Drilling Project on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula in the Cook Inlet Area! As I left to resume my career with Pioneer, the rig team was successfully executing the driling of the intermediate hole on the 3rd well for which the completion technique was being modified from 1) high pressure multi-stage fracs to 2) fishbone design consisting of (non-cased) openhole multilaterals with a slotted liner installation in the main lateral for which there was no stimulation planned. I extended my best wishes to the entire team toward successfully executing this fishbone design and achieving economic production to support continued development.

Noteworthy achievements...........worked with Hydril to design the first ever 2-7/8" x 5" variable bore rams for 11" 5M Stack after Cameron, Hydril and Shaffer all said it was not possible -- this design of the impossible has saved the Oooguruk Project and the Oil Industry $MM in ram changes.
