I am a current senior at Syracuse University studying Political Science and Environmental Sustainability and Public Policy. I come from a very humble background being raised by a single mother who is my number inspiration in life. When I was just eight years old I became inspired by Barack Obama and his message of "Yes We Can". From there I started my life in politics when I was just sixteen years old with the Hillary Clinton campaign. I got my first internship working for J Strategies a lobbying firm in Albany when I was a senior in high school. Environmental policy and activism is in my blood. My great-great uncle Paul Schaefer pioneered cloud seeding, and was instrumental in bringing the ski industry to New York. I live just one hundred feet away from one the nation's only hazardous waste incinerators in a public housing complex. Since February of 2019 I have been the lead activist for my community against this facility. I have met with members of the Governor's office to top officials within the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. We have been able to make meaningful change within my community.
