Medical director for television productions worldwide. Role involves medical needs assessments,audit of local medical facilities, developing multiple site casualty evacuation plans, writing and delivering a CPD program for the medical teams. Also responsible for on-screen medical provision.

Responsible for teaching the personal security section of this international postgraduate diploma.

Teaching wilderness and expedition medicine courses aimed at medical professionals wanting to act as expedition medics. I have acted as course director and provided teaching on water purification, sanitation, communications, casualty evacuation, altitude medicine and remote trauma care.

I have been deployed on operations and exercises worldwide. As a patrol medic I have set up temporary clinics to treat local populations, provided medical training from immediate care to mass casualty planning for foreign security forces and taught military trauma care to UK soldiers. I have also provided care under fire and prolonged field care for multiple casualties on the battlefield with minimal resources in austere and hostile environments

Eco-Challenge is the ultimate expedition race in which international teams of adventure athletes will race non-stop, 24 hours a day, across hundreds of miles of rugged backcountry terrain complete with mountains, jungles and oceans. Each team is comprised of a racing team of four competitors and must include at least one member of the opposite sex, plus one assistant crew member. The race will encompass a variety of non-motorized forms of transportation including outrigger paddling, mountain biking, rappelling, climbing, whitewater rafting, pack rafting and paddle boarding. Navigation must be done with map and compass only and teams will be required to use expedition problem-solving skills in their quest for the finish line.

Write and deliver hostile and remote environment medical courses for employees and clients worldwide. Part of my role involves sitting on the Security in Complex Environments Group (SCEG). The SCEG is a special interest group appointed as the UK government’s industry partner for the regulation of Private Security Companies. I currently advise the group on medical training, standards and accreditation.

Planning all aspects for private jungle expeditions, acting as leader, jungle guide and medic. Developing and delivering UK based weekend survival courses and teaching on rock climbing weekends.

Instructor for a leading fitness and weight loss programme in Scotland, Spain and Switzerland using outdoor activities to help people lose weight and increase fitness levels. I was also responsible for writing all providing medical care, casualty evacuation plans and liaising with local medical facilities.

Leading youth development expeditions in Central America. Responsible for overall safety, medical care, mountain treks and liaison with local organisations.

Leader and medic for three expeditions in East Borneo. Responsibilities included developing casualty evacuation plans with the British Army, Malaysian government and private organisations, delivering and overseeing an eight day jungle training package and project management in a remote location. Tasks included designing and overseeing construction of several suspension bridges and basic accommodation buildings in a remote part of the Malaysian jungle.Also Leader of a three month expedition in the Belizean jungle to construct building infrastructure for a conservation charity. Responsibilities included pre-expedition planning, managing health and safety of 23 young people and construction management. Casevac plans were developed in conjunction with the British Army and Belizean Defence Force. Also providing jungle training lessons and medical cover for the duration of the expedition.

Locating, setting up and managing a scientific research camp in the jungle in northern Honduras. Required to create casualty evacuation plans for five Honduras operations sites, develop links with American Air Force personnel and select, employ and manage a local staff of twenty. Also to write and deliver a comprehensive jungle training programme, manage water supply and sanitation in an environmentally sensitive location and ensure the safety and security of a multinational scientific staff.
