As interim Executive Director of the Long Island Progressive Coalition I’m charged to provide support and structure to full and part time staff to make sure they are able to fulfill their responsibilities to the organization, its members, and funders. Oversee the daily operations of the organization, including financial, technical, and that the physical office is maintained for use by staff and board. Work with the board to make sure we work toward the vision and mission of LIPC.Seek funding opportunities and apply for various grants to support the operations of LIPC and the work of the staff. Represent LIPC in local, state, and federal matters. Sign off on reporting to accountants, state agencies for lobbying, and granters.

• Responsible in assisting the Radiation Safety Officer in making sure all standards in safety pertaining to Radiology and Nuclear medicine are upheld in accordance the State and Federal law.• Testing treatment and work areas where radiation or radioactive material is present or used for exposure and exposure limits are kept within safe allowable limits. • Communicating with and training staff in radiation safety. • Communicating and working with State Inspection officials. • Communicating and working with consultants for I-131 and Nuclear medicine programs. • Overseeing the Radio Iodine treatment program (I-131).• Developing training and procedural SOP for radiation safety. • Monitoring and disposal of radioactive waste.

Employed to provide first and second level technical support to medical staff and associates; and assisting with the maintenance of the information technology environment. Responsibilities include the creation and termination of client’s accounts, processing technical requests for service, assisting both internal support teams and vendors in creating solutions to technical problems that arise. Perform all duties necessary for technical support during off hours/weekends, including account maintenance, technical support, preparing outage communication, and setting up and participating in conference calls during outages. Troubleshooting Cisco VPN and LAN and wireless connections to home networks. Providing basic tcp/ip troubleshooting for in house connection issues on a Windows 2000 and XP environment.
