As board president during my 2-year term assisted in securing over $400,000 in funding for a new building project. I also created several new initiatives which are used to help improve the accountability and efficiency of the organization. We now have a walk-through process for each show and event which helps ensure accountability for each director, ensuring that the theater space is maintained in terms of organization and utilization of equipment. We now have a walk-through process for each show and event which helps ensure accountability for each director, ensuring that the theater space is maintained in terms of organization and utilization of equipment. We also instituted a board liaison position for each show, making sure that all directors have one person they can direct any questions to as far as purchasing, scheduling and proper sequencing of all items needed to put on a quality theatrical production. We also have a code of conduct which was found to be necessary after some incidents between theater volunteers and staff. We now have clear guidelines, definitions and responsibilities lined out for all theater volunteers in order to make sure all of our volunteers have a safe place they can come to with their talents and be assured any issues will be addressed appropriately.
