I am a Detective Sergeant currently working in the area of complex and organised crime. Investigation is a passion of mine and I am committed to keeping the public safe and protecting vulnerable people whilst delivering high quality service. I have been a police officer for nine years working in a range of roles including Uniformed Response Officer, Detective Constable in CID and Organised Crime and more recently Detective Sergeant. Throughout my career so far I have adopted and exemplified the core values of the police service of honesty and integrity, fairness, leadership and impartiality and I embody this within my work.My greatest strengths are my strong work ethic, attention to detail, problem solving and mentoring others.Over my career I have accomplished the following: - Tutor constable - supporting and mentoring new police officers in operational policing.- ICIDP Portfolio assessor - supporting and mentoring new detectives through their accreditation. - Received numerous Superintendants Commendations and a Judges Commendation for my commitment to a complex investigation resulting in significant custodial sentences for offenders. - I passed the National Police Sergeants Exam with distinction. - I am an Expert Witness in the field of drugs and the illicit drugs market. - I received an award for Outstanding Contribution from the Police and Fire Commissioner for my work as a Drugs Expert Witness. - I have assisted in delivering training to other officers in the area of Modern Slavery and Exploitation investigation.I believe the knowledge, experience and skills acquired through my time as a Police Officer make me a valuable asset to any company with an interest in safety, security and public service.
