• Develop, implement, and manage safety policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, DOT). • Lead safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards within the supply chain environment (warehouses, distribution centers, transportation). • Partner with site leadership to implement and monitor safety programs, ensuring alignment with corporate safety goals. • Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and incidents to determine root causes and corrective actions. • Lead safety training and education initiatives for employees and management to reinforce safety practices and protocols. • Track, analyze, and report safety performance metrics (e.g., incident rates, near misses) to identify trends and drive improvement. • Serve as the point of contact for regulatory agencies and ensure the timely resolution of safety compliance issues. • Develop and lead emergency response plans, including first aid, CPR, and evacuation procedures. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Human Resources, and Legal to resolve safety issues and improve safety culture. • Facilitate weekly safety huddles and team discussions to reinforce best practices and share updates on safety trends.
