I am a 20 year old sports coaching student based in Newcastle who has always had a drive for performance development in sport due to playing football and cricket to a high level for the majority of my life. This exposure to regular training and performance caused me to take an interest in the coaching side of sport to be able to pass on my knowledge to others who wish to improve themselves. The major motivator for me as a coach is seeing participants develop, both in the activity they're playing or as a person. When I see these things occur as a result of my help it is something that increases my drive to develop as a coach.I am currently looking for a sports coaching role to fit in and around my university studies to provide myself with relevant work experience to develop in my career path and develop me as an individual in a professional environment. After finishing uni I aspire to continue my journey in coaching in a full time position with the potential to go in to a PE teaching role.I have 3 years of sports coaching experience in a variety of environments. I have coached a range of sports in primary schools leading PE lessons against a curriculum, as well as leading lunch, after school and holiday clubs. Each of these has provided me with opportunities to focus on different developmental goals for both myself and those in my care, and thus gain knowledge on the best way to work based on the environment I'm in and the group I'm working with.

This has allowed me to realise the different techniques that are required to enable me to get the best out of each individual and create the best environment for all in my care.
