My name is Noah Paré, and I am a journeyman industrial electrician. I have been in the trade for approximately 20 years working in oil and gas, mining, sawmills, pulp mills, pellet mills, co-generation, grain handling facilities, container ports and the Kitimat Aluminum Smelter.Most of my experience is in two areas; supervision and electrical control/instrumentation wiring, installations, commissioning, operations and maintenance. I began my career in the Fort St. John area, working predominantly in the natural gas field. For around 10 years I worked in construction and maintenance there and learned a lot of process control and have also started an instrumentation apprenticeship. The next 5 years I worked in sawmills, pulp mills, pellet mills and mining performing construction work, supervision, commissioning, maintenance shift coverage, shutdowns and some high voltage work also. In 2011 I began work on the Kitimat Modernization Project where I began as a field foreman and worked my way up to Superintendent of the North Carbon/Cast house areas where I was responsible for installation of vendor supplied equipment, electrical distribution, manpower, quality control and most importantly safety. Since then I have been an electrical supervisor at the Fairview container terminal in Prince Rupert and a few other smaller marine projects around Prince Rupert and Kitimat. My experience has been acquired on projects where I have worked alone and up to the mega-project size, and everything in between. I am a self-starter, very motivated, organized, efficient and enjoy problem solving and working with people. I have an excellent safety record and consider this the most important facet of my attitude towards work. I also have well developed communication and computer skills.
