After working for a major boiler manufacturer I joined PG&E. My latest position was Principal Engineer in the renewable development group. The group was responsible for solar development, wind development, fuel cell development, and CAES. My most recent project was first of its kind in the industry - piloting a utility scale Compressed Air Energy Storage System (CAES). I was Project Engineer for designing a 300 MW power plant using air as the motive force. Prior to that I was Principal Project Manager for another first in North America - replacing a conventional fossil plant with a 160 MW Reciprocating Engine Plant with SCR, black start, and high turndown. All while a nuclear decommissioning and demolition was happening on the same sight. I was site manager for several other major retrofit projects at several plant sites including installing SCRs, low NOx burners and FGR.
