I am CEO for Rainmaking APAC, part of Bain & Company.We've been building ventures for more than 15 years. In that time we've amassed a portfolio of more than 225 ventures in APAC and worked with more than 50 of the region's leading corporations and governments. Rainmaking APAC's unique risk-sharing model offers the ability to invest alongside corporate partners, whilst our teams of proven founders and investors provides an authentically entrepreneurial approach to corporate venture building.Today, we are part of global consultancy Bain & Company, connecting us to the world's most experienced sector experts, strategists, innovators and connectors.I look after the growth of Rainmaking's portfolio, working with the most talented executives and leadership teams in the region to build portfolios of new businesses together.I've spent more than 20 years in entrepreneurship, with 10 of those on the frontlines of corporate venture building. Over the following 2 years we grew extremely fast and became the European HQ, launching further offices in Paris, Munich and Stockholm before being acquired by Capgemini in 2016.During this time I oversaw the development of a portfolio of 40+ new corporate ventures, businesses and products, also launching 3 new ventures 'from the inside' in different leadership roles on the founding teams.Today, Fahrenheit 212 is part of Frog Design following its deeper integration into the Capgemini family. -

The venture was closed to focus on more promising opportunities after it became clear we had no sightline to a genuine competitive advantage. Lesson learned.
