Supervised and provided guidance and support for a staff of 5 technical support personnel in their duties related to supporting the bank's end use infrastructure needs. Ensured the bank's Help Desk tickets were addressed in a timely manner and as complete as possible. Coordinated the ordering, setup and delivery of new or replacement equipment for the end users. Worked closely with technology vendors as well as internal departments to ensure that the bank's infrastructure remained in a functional state at all times as well as replaced and upgraded equipment as necessary. Assisted the CTO and the SVP of IT in ensuring the goals were met as outlined in the Strategic and Technology Plans. Maintained the security of all information systems by adhering to the bank's Information Security policies, monitored the security of the system and addressed any vulnerabilities as they arose. Ensured the bank's Information Security policies were enforced by maintaining all security mechanisms as deemed appropriate.

Answered Help Desk tickets and supported end users with application, networking and hardware issues. Assisted the IT Officer as needed in securing and maintaining network functionality. Installed hardware and software as needed. Monitored the network and security devices to ensure secure and optimum operating efficiency. Worked closely with security providers in remediating vulnerabilities and resolving any hardware/software issues. Key Accomplishments Patched all instances of SQL server that the bank used to decrease the exposure to the bank's multiple vulnerabilities. Remediated or patched a complex array of over 50 servers and various software installations. Reduced our exposure as much as possible by patching or remediating where appropriate. Helped coordinate the upgrade of all the bank's existing MPLS and Internet circuit. Worked closely with our network vendor and consultant in modernizing our MPLS WAN/Internet infrastructure from an outdated T1 based technology to a modern fiber based technology and increasing bandwidths at the same time. Accepted position of Infrastructure Support Supervisor due to the restructuring of several departments in Operations including Information Technology. Worked closely with our network vendor, consultant and security vendor in replacing our firewall to a modern, more robust next generation firewall. Helped plan and coordinate the move of the bank's DR site from a small room in Aiken to a much more secure data center facility in Suwanee, GA. Helped support all end users with various technology issues as they arose throughout day-to-day operations as well as Saturday support rotation and being on call as needed. Researched, planned and implemented a process to remove local administrative rights from end users and lock down the bank's desktop computers while maintaining day-to-day functionality for the end users. Assisted with replacement of GABT's PC replacement project from Windows XP to Windows 7.

Worked as the only Network Administrator and Technician. Managed and supported 30 users, 40 PCs and 8 servers across two locations. Replaced approximately 30 of the bank's (SRBC) Windows XP PC's with new Windows 7 PC's. Personally planned, coordinated and installed all of the PC's with focus on minimal disruption to end users and bank operations while maintaining continuity between the end user's XP PC and their new Windows 7 PC. Coordinated and worked closely with vendor to convert the physical server infrastructure to a virtual environment as seamlessly as possible with minimal interruption to bank operations. Researched, recommended, coordinated and assisted with the installation of a comprehensive offsite Backup and Disaster Recovery system to replace the outdated onsite process. Researched various options from several vendors, helped recommend the best option and coordinated and assisted with the installation and conversion to the new system. Actively monitored the system for effectiveness and efficiency until it was determined the system was not functioning as promised and then facilitated the removal of the system. Researched, evaluated and began the installation of a replacement backup and DR systems to replace the previous one. Helped facilitate the merger of Savannah River Banking Company and First Community Bank of Lexington. This involved assisting their IT department in the installation of communication lines, providing reports from our systems.
