My group is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, testing and commissioning of automation equipment for the power substation industry. We also perform training to properly use these Supervisory, Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and provide support for ongoing operations. I am responsible for scheduling resources to complete all projects while allowing for unscheduled support calls and provide required information to the sales group for outgoing proposals. I provide a non-technical interface for the client to contact for the successful completion of their project. I also examine completed projects in order to mine accuracy with respect to initial budgets, profitability, lessons that can be utilized on other current and future projects, and details that show the initial scope completed along with any changes to the scope that are documented. My direct reports also request training for related technologies and I coordinate and approve these as well.
