I earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering while playing baseball at GA Tech. Now, with 20+ years of experience in the Transporation and Aerospace industries, I've had the opportunity to manage multiple large-scale projects and programs, deliver unique supply chain solutions, and drive innovative technology projects. I've often been involved with projects requiring a swift response. In late summer of 2014, I managed a volunteer project for UPS and UNICEF. Our project team organized 320 volunteers, 80 volunteers working each of the four-hour shifts over a weekend, to pack clothing kits for refugees in Syria. Arriving in New Jersey late Friday afternoon to check the operational setup in the warehouse, we quickly realized that the materials and kitting stations were not properly positioned. The project team worked until 1:00 am and was back at 5:30 am Saturday morning to finalize preparations prior to volunteer arrival. By end of day Sunday, our project team and volunteers were able to pack over 23,800 clothing kits. To this day, I am inspired by the dedication and teamwork of those involved.I was the project manager assigned to UPS's response to Hurricane Ian in late September 2022. I coordinated with the FL Industrial Engineering, I.E., team to manage the distribution of 150+ UPS Ready Team resources in response to Ian's impact on Florida operations. I worked with our AMEX Global team to secure hotel accommodations in multiple locations and partnered with corporate procurement to secure rental vehicles. Upon assignment by our I.E. group, I communicated destinations, start times, and management contacts to Ready Team members. As sites resumed normal operations, I worked with I.E. to coordinate further resource movements based on need.The role of Program Manager for UPS's support of the 2023 Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, GA was the most enjoyable experience of my career. Shipping operations involving 120+ UPS volunteers were established at three (3) Augusta National Golf Club, ANGC, locations. Key milestones required to support the tournament included volunteer identification, hotel accommodations, photo IDs and DLs for background checks, badging, uniform sizing, asset assignment, and issue resolution.
