Proposed and led a Business Intelligence team to address a major internal problem. Across 4 divisions, 400 independent, stand-alone reporting systems existed to manage $2.2 billion in revenue. With no integrated system, analysts used spread sheets to consolidate reporting requirements, often creating errors as they manually transferred data. Installation of a SAP system eliminated 275 legacy systems, leaving 125 whose data needed to be electronically consolidated without use of spreadsheets. To solve this issue, we undertook a two-phase project: (1) create an integrated reporting system.; and (2) build cultural change to ensure acceptance and use. For Phase 1, we  identified the key information managers needed to run each division’s business;  reversed engineered the key information to identify required data elements;  designed standard reports; and  designed and developed the consolidated reporting system.In Stage 2, we continued to engage the business to introduce and continually reinforce the new procedural and process changes throughout the 4 divisions. Estimated savings in auditing costs and increased efficiency averaged $1.5-2M per year.
