Our financial… Show more I have led the implementation of a Strategic Plan that has increased enrolments by 51% over 6 years (>10% in 2022/23 and 23/24 against a 3.8% State average in 2023) in one of Australia's most challenging demographics (high unemployment, low median household income, lowest disposable income per capita). Key to this has been expanding market share and increasing retention rates in a highly competitive regional area on the back of an era of significant enrolment decline. Our financial strategy has lifted a sub-par EBIDA (min 4.5% added to the bottom line each year) to well above accepted benchmarks (16.1% in 2022), increased our Asset Sustainability Ratio to improve facilities (including a $10.5m capital build), and enabled value add through a range of educational initiatives, all while keeping fee increases below average wage growth (av. fees only 2.5% higher than in 2018). NAPLAN results are consistently above National Averages and in Feb 2023 the Courier Mail announced that FCAC was the best performing school in the region (NAPLAN and ATAR). In 2022, FCAC took out the title of 'Australia's Best Regional School' at the Australian Education Awards and in 2023 I have been honoured to receive the Educational Leadership Commendation Award from ACEL QLD branch. Provided opportunities to third year EDC3100 students to develop innovative, practical pedagogies that involve effectively integrating ICT’s into engaging learning programs. Students were able to interact with outstanding educators and were provided specific feedback on their own practice in order to prepare them for the modern classroom and improve their career prospects.
