Since his retirement he has established Joe Abel & Associates, LLC to provide parks and recreation management solutions to the parks and recreation profession.Joe has served the parks and recreation profession through leadership positions with the West Virginia, Florida, and National Recreation & Park Associations. Joe has served as President of the FRPA, on the Board of Trustees and Executive Board of NRPA, and as a Board member of the FRPA Foundation.
