With over 25 years of experience in financial education, I have a deep background in teaching financial literacy at both corporate and academic levels.My passion lies in educating young professionals about personal finance. Since 1999, I have served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy in Little Rock, Arkansas, where I teach a personal finance course. Chapter 13 focuses on the theme of "giving back," a principle I live by through two scholarships I endowed. One supports students from my hometown of Emerson, Arkansas, who plan to attend Southern Arkansas University, and the other aids undergraduates from Southern Arkansas University who will pursue studies at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy.Proudly hailing from Emerson, Arkansas, I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Southern Arkansas University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Central Arkansas. I am a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and obtained my Series 7 securities license (inactive) in 1986.
