President of Senior Housing Consultants and Vice President Finance & Administration for Senior Housing Management.Senior Housing provides consulting and management services to the senior housing industry. We manage 21 retirement communities throughout the upper midwest. We have helped clients develop 18 retirement communities in the last four years. Our consulting services include market assessments and financial feasibility analysis for the determination of the feasibility of new retirement communities. Management services include the start-up of new communities and turn arounds of existing communities that may be struggling within their market. Promoted to HQ role to leverage experience in Operations, Off-shoring, OEM Manufacturing, and Finance to develop and execute a new strategic direction for North American Operations. Ensured continued cooperation between facilities in the United States and Mexico following a large wave of product line transfers to Mexico. Led continued implementation of Lean Manufacturing in North American Operations. Reported to the SVP Operations with responsibility for five plants and eight direct reports. $498 million in sales and 1,978 employees.

Appointed to lead Mexico’s largest operation, during the large scale transfer of products and volume from five North American plants. Created and sustained a customer centric culture focused upon continuous improvement and teamwork. Grew, the operation, two-fold though the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools. Reported to the US Vice President Operations, responsible for all functions, having seven direct reports. $144 million in sales and 1,144 employees.

Appointed by the Vice President Advanced Manufacturing, in an interim role, to prepare for the integration of a pending acquisition and to leverage OEM Marketing relationships in a partnership with marketing to identify and translate customer segment requirements into Operations initiatives.

Promoted to improve the performance, build the staff, and change the culture of the Cedar Rapids plant, a union operation producing commercial industrial circuit breakers for internal and external customers. Led the implementation of Constraint Management and Lean Manufacturing, used Kanban to better control the material system, initiated Kaizen events to engage employees in continuous improvement, and created a customer centric culture. Reported to the Vice President Operations, responsible for all operations functions and having seven direct reports. $260 million in sales and 754 employees.

Promoted, by the Business Unit Controller, to implement new policies, develop expertise outside of finance, and support a new organization structure.•Appointed to support the Group Vice President at North American HQ in Palatine, Illinois. Integrated the finance organizations from nine plants into a new organization structure, and created a long-term plan for the Group. Reported to Corporate Controller with seven direct reports.•Selected for six months development assignment as Plant Manager in the Lincoln, Nebraska facility to learn the production, quality, materials, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance functions in order to develop experience as a Plant Manager.•Requested by the Business Unit Controller to work with the Engineering and Information Technology Director and participate in the development and implementation of a new transfer price policy for the company in Lexington, Kentucky.

Promoted to support a plant turn around and develop the finance department in Lincoln Nebraska. Responsibilities included the Lincoln finance department and the Controllers in two other facilities.•Improved the prioritization of activities and the quality of analysis so that submittals were on-time and accurate. •Improved on-time delivery and productivity through the justification of projects and education of the management team about financial results.

Promoted to consolidate and analyze plant results and business plans in support of the Business Unit Controller and Vice President. •Integrated the Tijuana Maquiladora into the Company’s financial system, •Developed a new methodology analyzing actual results versus absorbed costs•Developed a new analytical methodology for understanding monthly results
