CurrentProduce, develop and oversee execution of all Works Museum related educational programming. Providing quality school tour and classroom outreach experiences to local and county schools Implementing and teaching science and history related programming for general public and registered classes Producing and performing all science demonstration shows including: • Color Change, Combustion and Ker-PLOP --The Works’ Chemistry Show! • The FUN with Physics Show • The Go with the Flow Electricity Show • The Load-Down on Structures Show Participating as member of The Works STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) initiative Providing voice talent for radio spots advertising The Works’ special eventsSignificant Accomplishments: Taught the professional development workshop, Science of Sound at the Inspired Teachers’ Institute event sponsored by Ohio Voices for Learning: A Reggio Inspired Forum Featured performer at “Kidzapalooza” - January 24, 2009 at Veterans Memorial Columbus, Ohio Created a successful science inquiry and history school tour curriculum. All lesson plans are in alignment with State Academic Content Standards with many Grade Level Indicators addressed. Participated as member of The Works Exhibits Team, responsible for the concept and successful installation of six Works Labs hands-on science discovery areas on the museum’s ground floor Established and implemented The Works’ Home School Fridays science and art workshop program Launched The Works’ Curious Kids Tuesday science and art make-and-take program for preschool-kindergarten Co-Created and co-taught The Works’ Club MESS Spring Break and Summer Camps Featured speaker: Newark Rotary, Granville Rotary, Community Leadership of Licking County, The Owens-Corning Retirees Association, Pataskala Area Chamber of Commerce
