The bulk of my work at Amyris has been in building out and maintaining backend code for internal Python web applications. Main technologies utilized: Pyramid (web framework), SQLAlchemy, Docker

- Support ongoing development of an internal Python package containing custom Jupyter widget classes, database connectors, and helper functions- Designed and implemented unit tests and package dependency constraints for development of an internal Python package- Designed and built a Python Jupyter GUI that allows researchers to easily parse data files from a lab platform, upload and store the information in a database, and fetch data from experiments- Support self-made tools and implement feature requests and bug fixes in a timely manner to unblock lab researchers- Scope feature requests for lab data workflows

- Designed and built a Python-based UI (using pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, bokeh, and internal APIs) that allows users to retrieve fermentation run data, easily define plotting parameters, and create clear and beautiful figures- Designed and ran 50+ experiments leveraging statistical tools such as design of experiments, principal component analysis, and response surface methodology to drive KPI improvement - Developed and managed program to interactively train new hires on workflows and best practices

- Successfully managed a complex client project from both the office (performing engineering work) and field (instructing field staff and planning) and communicated with various stakeholders- Frequently troubleshot complex issues on client sites with little to no guidance leading to reduced system downtime and reduced costs incurred from additional site visits
