Effective March 1, 2022, I took leave from my responsibilities as Director of Public Affairs at ACFO-ACAF to focus exclusively on growing our professional development practice. This includes both strategic and business planning, organizational design and development and overseeing the operations of both the Comptrollership Training Centre and the Joint Career Development Program.

In 2019, in addition to my duties as Director of Communications and Public Affairs, I oversaw the launch and operation of the Comptrollership Training Centre, an in-house training and development institute for financial professionals in the public sector. This included curriculum development, course delivery, working with third-party training providers and building the operations of the Centre.That same year I also took over responsibility for the administration of the Joint Career Development Program, a million dollar training and development program co-managed by ACFO-ACAF and the Office of the Comptroller General.From September 2019 to September 2020, in addition to my regular duties as Director of Public Affairs and Professional Development, I acted as Chief Administrative Officer for ACFO-ACAF, overseeing all operational and corporate service functions as a mat leave coverage assignment. This increased my supervisory headcount to five and gave me direct oversight over information technology, events and facilities management and membership administration. During this time I oversaw the complete migration to a virtual office due to COVID-19 and also retrofitted the office for the eventual return to the workplace.

I was responsible for communications and public affairs for the union representing 5,000 federal public servants and employees at NAV Canada. Leading a team of three, I was ultimately accountable for membership engagement and communications; public relations and reputation management; media relations; research; and public affairs including direct lobbying and participation in the legislative process. I also managed key relationships with partners through our affiliations with the Canadian Labour Congress and Public Services International.

PUNC-RSPC is a network of unions representing professional public workers in Canada. As secretary, I am responsible for the administration of the network, including organizing and chairing meetings, maintaining the website and providing other secretarial services as needed.

I spent three years helping clients solve their marketing problems as part of nonlinear's strategic services group, then another year and a bit helping the company solve its own. As Director of Marketing, I was responsible for planning, executing, measuring and refining cross-channel marketing efforts on and offline. I also served as an evangelist for nonlinear, speaking at conferences and events.
