American Heritage is a tri-disciplined class of political science, history and economics. It is a general education course that all students at Brigham Young University are required to take. The class covers all aspects of the constitution from political philosophy, history and economic stand points. It is taught in large sections twice a week by the professor and then in small labs of approximately 30 students of which Teaching Assistants (TAs) teach three. Being an American Heritage TA is a highly competitive job and therefore only the best applicants are hired. I have attended labs taught by Joseph and am impressed with his teaching ability, intelligence, and preparation. He worked hard to help his students understand the course materials. He was also able to maintain the discipline required to get through his lesson plans.
