Responsible for identifying and developing external sources of funding; assisting faculty in the preparation of competitive funding proposals; developing collaborative project teams across multiple academic departments, centers, and institutions for significant funding opportunities; expanding relationships between Rutgers University - Newark and private funding entities, including business; and providing workshops and seminars designed to help faculty compete successfully for external funding.

Supporting faculty and staff at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey in securing external funding for research, training, outreach and clinical projects

Securing increased external funding for research, training, outreach and service projects in social/behavioral sciences and in international programs for the School of Arts and Sciences
