Manage the operations of retail stores engaged in the growth of retail revenue through selling previously rented or new furniture by performing duties personally or through subordinate employees.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. * Responsible for District budgeted retail sales revenue and margin.* Responsible for the development and implementation of marketing efforts, including advertising, sales promotions, competitive awareness, target marketing and effective merchandising.* Responsible for the sale of idle inventories, keeping stock clean, and maintaining levels to meet rental objectives and warehouse efficiency.* Monitor and control all retail advertising expenses.* Implement an on-going coaching system with sales people and Store Managers, to develop all competencies in selling skills, product knowledge, merchandising, goal setting, tracking.* Responsible for tracking required paperwork (i.e. deposits, inventory control).* Responsible to merchandise floor, plan advertising, organize sales events/promotions, maintain customer base, track customer response from advertising, promote referral program with rental Account Reps and Leasing Agents.* Provide direction for retail revenue goals and how they will be achieved by team and individual efforts.* Train and develop employees to effectively sell new and used retail furniture.* Keeps relevant paperwork for the retail business, such as tracking customer information, sales figures, etc.* Contributes ideas for advertising, operation changes, budget, ways to increase profits and expense reductions, new business leads and promotions.
