Our efforts are focused on SUSTAINABILITY - building an infrastructure in our community where everyone has opportunity for a better quality of life to make the journey from treatment to sustainable recovery.We aim to become the # 1 resource and referral center for the recovery community - supporting the increase of individual RECOVERY CAPITAL to promote a better quality of life for each individual member. By promoting solidarity in the recovery community, WE ADVOCATE for improvement in government policies, criminal justice reform and better health care access and delivery. The Recovery ReStart Sober Program runs 13 weeks and supports participants in navigating their way through the barriers, blocks and obstacles which they encounter moving towards the ideal of PERMANENT RECOVERY.The program is client-centered and strengths-driven, and employs evidence-based tools and techniques such as decision balance sheets, mind-mapping exercises and motivational interviewing. Using S.M.A.R.T. GOALS, … participants develop a forward-moving overall plan of action focusing on the RECOVERY CAPITAL areas in life which they decide are most important. The individualized action plan is then reduced by each participant .. into weekly and daily goals and tasks … Each morning, participants communicate their action plan for the day ahead --where they will be ... what they will do ... what they will accomplish ...and at the end of the day there is accountability for the efforts made, or unmade, in that day.
