I have been fortunate to have had many careers in one! My first career was in medical equipment maintenance services businesses taking care of customers in the most dire of circumstances - critical medical equipment not working properly and a waiting room full of patients needing attention! From Services Management, I progressed into Services Marketing and eventually into Product and Brand Marketing, including Marketing Communications. This "forward marketing" experience was then applied to "reverse marketing" - or getting you suppliers to do more for you than for any of your competitors. This is how I started out in Procurement and Supply Chain where I have spent the last decade. A huge part of my story was my study group at Duke. Those study group members changed my career trajectory and many of them have gone on to their own successes. (If we speak, I will tell you about a one very famous member of this study group!)Along with experiencing the real world operational life of running supply chains, including being a Chief Procurement Officer twice, and a VP of Supply Chain in several occasions, I've also been a consultant with a top-tier advisory firm. That experience has been particularly helpful to learn advanced project management and analytical skills. These experiences have allowed me to see the world, including a stint as an ex-pat in Singapore.Since 2017, I've had a passion for taking these past experiences and applying them toward the advancement of the procurement and supply chain professions. In my own advisory firm, I've helped a variety of software companies with their go-to-market programs that target my former peer set. I enjoy working with the existing teams to make them successful and sharing all that I've learned over the past years and cross-business experiences. I have homes both in Boise, Idaho and Atlanta, Georgia so can work easily with teams, coast to coast. I enjoy taking breaks by road biking, hiking, playing pickleball and spending time with family and friends. When we speak, I can tell you about completing all five peaks of the Death Ride or about my granddaughter's beautiful smile!
