I have a deep love of design & understanding the way things work, I've always enjoyed building things - which goes hand and hand with the day in a life in the POP world.My career spans over 25 years, initially as a young Industrial Design student with an insurmountable energy to learn everything I could about design and production. I found the POP and fixture industry and have been committed to become an active contributor ever since.Throughout my professional career, I've gained a high-level knowledge of creative and effective design practices as it relates to merchandising product for packaging and retail. My areas of expertise include initial creative concepts, engineering, and all aspects of the production / manufacturing process. I've led teams of Industrial & graphic designers, engineers and production coordinators as the Design Director overseeing all aspects of creative to the production process.Most recently, I shifting my efforts from the daily design process to Account Management. I assist our client’s directly with my diverse background of knowledge. This allows me the ability to guild our clients through the display development and production process quicker, with a close eye on budgets and with more targeted results.I’ve helped clients reach their customers, assisting them through every stage of the process from design to delivery. Our teams at Impact & Sutherland have earned a well-respected position within our industry - working with national consumer brands all around the country. However, the buck stops with me for anything related to building and delivering our mission, enhancing client experiences, developing strategic partnerships, or leading by example with passion & purpose. As an account leader, I bring a servant-leader attitude to the company culture, which I’ve found to be the best ennoblement factor for team and client success.My extensive background in visual design has contributed to much of my relationship building success. Mainly, by being able to see the entire production process from a unique perspective, with a precise and detailed approach. Consequently, I have been able to proactively eliminate problems before they arise by addressing client needs, leveraging elite tools, and leveraging some of the industry’s most talented minds in design and engineering.That’s how I’m “defining success”.
