Promoted to Executive Director in 2004, with significant additional responsibilities added in November of 2008 and again in 2012.Currently Controller for CIBC's U.S. based Wholesale Banking & Treasury businesses, including:o Funding & Liquidity Managemento Commercial Real Estate Financeo Merchant Banking & Private Equityo Fixed Income Trading & Distributiono Equity Derivativeso Structured Productso Leveraged Leasingo Investment Bankingo Commercial Credit ProductsResponsible for all aspects of the following:o Accounting, Financial Reporting & Governanceo Preparation and review of Daily Financial Estimateso Finance Support for Business Initiatives & Analysiso Manage a staff of 7 professionals. Significant Projects & Initiatives:o Implemented several initiatives to streamline operations between Toronto and New York offices.o Managed a complete overhaul of the accounting and reporting for the $300 million Leveraged Leasing portfolio.o Sale of approximately $300 million of Limited Partner interests in various Private Equity funds.o Re-establishment of Fixed Income & Equity Derivatives trading desks in NY.o Creation of a 50% owned, $750 million, Real Estate Finance LLC, and eventual securitization of underlying assets.o Sale of $120 million of private equity investments to a newly established co-investment vehicle.o January 2008 sale of CIBC's U.S. Capital Markets business to Oppenheimer Holdings.o March 2007 purchase of a majority interest in Amcom Software.
