Manage staff of 19 (8 operations research technicians, 6 maintenance technicians, 4 engineers/technicians, one planner).Liaison to research & development teams.Scope, appropriate and execute capital improvements.

Lead Nonwovens sector centerlining initiative. Reduce production viariabilty through close monitoring of process inputs. Coordinate/facilitate efforts and drive towards standard approach across multiple production facilities. Represent sector within corporate centerlining effort.Kaizen leader on sector LEAN transition team. Lead kaizen across the full spectrum from simple problem solving to Six Sigma projects. Trained at Six Sigma Black Belt level, seeking certification.Coordinating staff process group Six Sigma project selection, excecution and training.

Capital project execution from feasibility study through commissioning of first of a kind machines and rebuilds in US and Mexico. Budgets of $3MM-15MMStaff of 3-18 engineers/technicians.

Primary responsibilities:- support manufacture of disposable medical devices at Tecnol Medical Products including: face masks, blood pressure cuffs, ice packs and a host of other products.- Design/develop equipment for incremental productivity enhancements.- Design/develop safety programs, guarding and interlocks.- Justify, Request and Manage capital projects $1 to 2 million in scope from proposal to design through construction and commissioning.- Assist technical staff with transition to Kimberly-Clark systems and business practices.Major capital projects led during this assignment: + $1MM Safety Upgrade + Relocate medical device converting machine and associated equipment from another division.

Primary responsibilities:- Support disposable training pant production- Lead a team of 3 other engineers and multiple process experts to identify converting machine speed limitations. Specify process/equipment to address identified limitations.- Experience with high speed cut and place modules, hot melt adhesives, rotary die cutting, rotary interference cutting, vacuum conveyors, zero speed splicing unwinds .- Capital project construction manager of 1-2 million (.25 - .5 million construction budget).- Technical leadership of 10 engineer construction/start up support team.Major projects led during this assignment: + First of a kind 150% speed increase training pant converting machine + Roll out of speed increase to multiple assets

Failure and SMED analysis. Technical resource and sponsor of predictive maintenance (vibration analysis). Identify and manage maintenance capital improvements (up to $500K).Evaluate and report preventative maintenance down efficiencies. Identify spare parts to stock and quantities.

Pressure vessel manufacturer with ASME Code U Stamp.+Estimate engineering developing preliminary designs at quote and final design upon receipt of order. +Extensive investigation of ASME PVC Section 8 and TEMA for design automation software as part of an internal project. +Extensive design experience with Appendix 2 custom flanges.+Customization of AutoCAD using AutoLISP.

Formerly a division of Rockwell International; now owned by Pratt & Whitney.Member of Technical Staff 2: Design engineer in the Expendable Launch Vehicle (ELV) program. Led a group of 4 contract design engineers for high-pressure ducting on an upgrade to the original General Dynamics Atlas rocket engine, which powered the Atlas II. Extensive solid modeling implementation in the design (Catia, CADDS).Member of Technical Staff 1: Design engineer in the Space Shuttle Main Engine (SSME) program specializing in high-pressure articulated ducting. Shop liasion working with all phases of manufacture (machining, welding, treatment, plating, NDE) with focus on Material Review Board dispositions and producibility design changes. Design/Drafting software: CADAM, solid modeling using Catia and CADDS4x CAD platforms.

Part time environmental tech. Performed EPA method stack gas emission testing.
